Heading for the Wisconsin Northern Woods this Saturday. Suzanne is coming up from Indy to go with us. So glad. This will be the first time that she has ever been to grandma's "territory". It will be a real cultural experience for her - Dick and I have been there before and stayed in the cabin. We will stay in the "wilds" for one night and then check into the Four Seasons Resort on Miscauno Island (Menominee River) which is about 5-6 miles from the "40". That will be more to her liking I'm sure - quite frankly - more to mine also. However, there is something adventurous about staying at the cabin. It is very remote - very primitive - no running water, electricity, and the "loo" (sp) is still Grandma's outhouse! We will be meeting up with most of the other "Hartman" cousins for a discussion on the future of the land. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Hope it won't be too hot and the mosquito's are not abundant.
