This February (2010) we will have owned the Florida house six years. When we bought this place, it had no curb appeal. There was only one palm tree in the front yard and nothing existed around the house. We did a lot of research before we started planting. For the most part we selected thriving Florida native specimens, but it is amazing how fast things grow in the summer when the rainy season starts. Even before we leave in the spring, we cut back a lot of things, and when we come back in the fall we are always amazed at the amount of growth on the shrubs and palms.
