Jacob - our second grandchild - and all boy!

Jacob is our second oldest grandchild. He and Kaitlyn are 22 months apart and are very close to one another. He attended Little Seeds preschool this year. He seems so much more mature than when he started last fall. Jacob is playing baseball this summer also. We have seen him play twice - what fun. Their attention span is somewhat limited and many times the little ball players sit on the field and play in the dirt! One of my fondest things about Jacob is he (and Kaitlyn, too) like to wake us up in the morning when we are visiting with them. House rules are that he has to wait until 7:00 a.m. He has a clock in his room, so he watches it and when it's 7, he bounds downstairs, throws open the bedroom door and yells "boo!" Then he crawls in bed and we cuddle for a few minutes. The kids have chickens and so there are "farm fresh" eggs everyday. Early on when the chickens starting laying, Kaitlyn and Jacob would collect the eggs. In fact we were down there the first time eggs were discovered. It was pretty exciting. One picture is of Jacob showing off a couple of eggs; also he and Kaitlyn bringing in the eggs. Now that the excitement of eggs has worn off - guess who usually gets the eggs - mom and dad!
